Wolf Warrior 2, the highly-anticipated action-packed sequel to the 2015 Chinese war action film Wolf Warrior opens in theaters July 28. Reprising his role of a Special Forces operative and an expert marksman will be the martial arts star Wu Jing (Shaolin, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor), who has also written and directed the film. Wu Jing is also known to some of his fans as Jacky Wu.

The Mandarin and English language sequel co-stars Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War), Celina Jade (The Man with the Iron Fists), Yu Nan (The Taking of Tiger Mountain) and Hans Zhang (TV series Boss & Me). Jade is reuniting with her Legendary Assassin co-star and director Wu Jing after a gap of 11 years.

The Wolf Warrior Leng Feng (Wu Jing) in the new film has settled to a quiet life by the sea, with his career in tatters. But when his path crosses with a sadistic band of mercenaries terrorizing innocent civilians, he must reaffirm his duty as a soldier once again and save the day.

If the adrenaline-fueled, gripping trailer of the film is anything to go by, the sequel promises a bigger and badder Wolf Warrior than ever, with fists (and bullets, tanks, missiles and much more) flying all around, culminating in a climactic battle of epic proportions.

The original Wolf Warrior was one of the biggest Chinese language hits of 2015, with a gross exceeding USD 60 mn. The sleeper hit won in the Best Screenplay, Best New Director, Best Action Choreography, and #1 Audience Award categories at the 20th Huading Awards, and the trophies for Outstanding Film and Best Newcomer at the 33rd Hundred Flowers Awards.

Wolf Warrior 2 is produced by The H Collective in partnership with Well Go USA.
