Fist of the Dragon is a remake of the Don Wilson classic “Moving Target” (2000). The movie stars JuJu Chan, who i recently seen in the movie “Hit Girls” along with Maria Tran and thought she did a fantastic job. Fist Of The Legend finished filming in February and is now in post production. This film is a full on action film with a combination of fight choreography which includes Hapkido, MMA, and Vietnamese martial arts. JuJu Chan who stars in the movie, had this to say,
“There are lots of real contact in the film and many injuries because the director wanted real fighting. It will be a NR rated film, so very violent. Director Antony Szeto is also an established martial artist so he was very demanding”.
It was Filmed at the ACE Studios in Nanhai, China (This is the 2nd Roger Corman film being produced in China. The first one is “The Haunted”, a thriller, which is also produced in ACE Studios.
Produced by Roger Corman, Fist Of The Dragon should take 5 months in post production before it as a release date, but be sure with the talent on show and behind the scenes, we should be in for a great movie.
Plot:
Damon, an MMA fighter retires and goes to China to meet his new love, Meili. But things take an immediate turn when he inadvertently takes a package sought by an underground arms dealer. Now he must fight to save himself and his loved one.
About the cast:
Josh “The Punk” Thomson: former Strike force Lightweight Champion. He is playing Damon the lead actor.
JuJu Chan: Chinese American action actress and winner of Miss Chinatown USA and Miss United Nation International. She is playing Meili the lead actress.
Ellary Porterfield: starred in a number of NBC Piolts including Hidden Palms. She is playing Cassie (Meili's best friend).
Xin Sarith Wuku: a real martial artist also known as Urban Ninja. He is playing Enlai the bad guy with kick ass martial arts.
Daniel Whyte: playing Thorn the triad boss. Daniel Whyte is also a martial arts instructor.
