I was hyped for this movie when it was announced, but after seeing the latest still i know its going to showcase some great action choreography. The Bodyguard is the latest movie from legendary Kung Fu icon Sammo Hung, as he stars and also Directs again for the first time since Mr.Nice Guy in 1997, starring Jackie Chan.
The movie also stars the brilliant Andy lau, Tian Liang and Deng Chao, but will also feature cameos from the likes off Tsui Hark, Karl Maka, Dean Shek and Yuen Wah.
Plot
A retired bodyguard (Sammo Hung) settles down in a small town on the Russia-China border. He befriends a young girl whose life is threatened when her father (Andy Lau) falls in with the local crime world. When the girl and her father disappear, the bodyguard sets out on a ruthless trail to take down the mob and rescue the girl.
Its great to see Sammo Hung and Andy lau work together once again. They have worked in a few movies together now like Twinke, Twinke, Lucky Stars, Lucky Stars Go Places, Island Of Fire and Directed him in Moon Warriors. When the trailer is released, we will certainly put it up and watch this space.
