It feels like its been forever since we last saw Sammo on the big screen yet he’s actually had roles in a few films over the last few years – Rise of the Legend, Once Upon a time in Shanghai . In those films though Sammos role was only in supporting, but now he’s back in lead and damn does this look good.
Sammo brings Andy Lau along for the ride (fresh of the excellent ‘ Saving Mr Wu‘). This is our first look official look at the film and based on the trailer this could be something special indeed.
Notes: This is Sammo’s first directed film since Once Upon a time in China and America (1997), Andy Lau is also a producer.
Look out for Yuen Biao who should have a role in the film, although at this stage its unclear if this will be a small cameo or something greater.
Trivia : This was originally meant to be the film that brought the dragons together again (Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Yuan Biao) but sadly Jackie was unable to commit to the role due to filming conflicts.

Plot
A retired bodyguard (Sammo Hung) settles down in a small town on the Russia-China border. He befriends a young girl whose life is threatened when her father (Andy Lau) falls in with the local crime world. When the girl and her father disappear, the bodyguard sets out on a ruthless trail to take down the mob and rescue the girl.
