Section 9 is a futuristic anti-terrorist intelligence agency. Their main task is to stop cyber criminals and hackers. The film takes us to an action-packed adventure as the task force faces a new enemy. The Major and her team protect Hanka Robotic’s Artificial Intelligence technology from criminal hands.
Ghost in the Shell became a hit with the Western audience, a breakthrough animated film in the 1995. It is based on Masamune Shirow’s 1989 sci-fi manga series with the same title. The manga series became quite popular inspiring four anime movies and a series of video games.
Shot in New Zealand and Hong Kong, the film is now in post-production. Avi Arad and Steven Paul are producing the movie and Rupert Sanders is the director.
Ghost in the Shell opens in theaters on March 31, 2017.
