Nicholas Tse and Sean Lau Star in Crime Thriller “Heartfall Arises”

Ahead of its premiere on the 20th October in cinemas nationwide,  a press conference was held in Chengdu with its ‘' leading actors Nicholas Tse and in attendance to speak with members of the media and fans.

A China-Hong Kong collaborative project, the crime thriller stars as a tough as nails detective who pits his wits against a criminal psychologist, played by veteran actor Sean Lau.

Speaking at the press conference, Nicholas Tse expressed delight at starring alongside Sean Lau again, saying that he feels “comfortable” working with the fellow thespian, “You don't have to worry that he hasn't done his due diligence, or will mess up his lines; working with him has been great”. Sean Lau, in turn, praised his co-star saying that Tse has “matured greatly over the years and his acting has improved tremendously; he regularly has discussions with the director on set to fully understand his character and immerse himself in the role.”

As for newbie director Ken Wu, “Heartfall Arises” is the first movie that he has both written and directed, and he is honoured to be able to work with two award-winning actors.

When it is released in cinemas nationwide on the 20 Oct 2016, “Heartfall Arises” will be the first ever movie to air in both Cantonese and Mandarin in China. “Heartfall Arises” also stars Taiwanese actress Mavis Fan and Chinese actress Tong Liya.
