2017 has been a fantastic year for the crime thriller genre in South Korea. We mentioned earlier this year that we had high hopes for Korean cinema in 2017 and boy have we been proved right.
So many amazing films have been released this year but it's been the crime thriller genre that as truly stood out. Once again, South Korea have shown that they are the kings of the genre. We've been lucky enough to watch so many great crime thrillers and below are what we consider to be the true gems.
Whilst its hard to say if any of these films will go on to be the ‘next great Korean thriller classic‘, each one is still very much worth your time.
