Trailer for New Japanese Film “Kingdom”

Japanese director (“Gantz”, “Inuyashiki”, “Bleach”) has completed filming of the live-action adaptation of “”. The Manga series, written by Yasuhisa Hara, was first published in 2006. A short film was previously made to celebrate the films 10th anniversary. Actor Kento Yamasaki (“Another”, “Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable”) will be reprising his role from the short film as main protagonist “Shin”.

The film will be released in theaters on April 19th, 2019, a trailer for the film has been released by Sony Pictures Japan.

Synopsis

Set in Qin Dynasty during the warring states period in ancient China. Shin (Kento Yamasaki) was a war orphan. He has a dream of becoming a great general. Shin has a fateful encounter with young King Eisei (Ryo Yoshizawa). King Eisei aims to unify all of China. (AsianWiki)
