Trailer for Upcoming Indian Film “No Fathers in Kashmir”

No Fathers in Kashmir: Two 16 year olds search for their fathers in a Kashmir where "Half widows" of missing men is common place.

Director (Road to Ladakh, Little Terrorist) comes with another riveting tale from Kashmir. “” is mostly in English but also contains Hindi, Urdu and Kashmiri languages. The film stars , , , Ashvin Kumar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anshuman Jha and Natasha Mago. The filmmakers had been through a constant struggle with the censor board and their appeal committee in India for the past eight months because of the controversial nature of the film. Finally, the film is certified as U/A (PG12) and set to release on April 5 this year.

Synopsis

16 year old British Kashmiri Noor visits the valley in search of her missing father and meets a 16 year old boy Majid. Their budding romance is also the beginning of the disillusionment of their world. Both search for their missing fathers in a Kashmir where “Half widows” of missing men is common place. War crimes that no one wants to talk about unveils. The eternal conflict in Kashmir is not so black and white when looked from the ground.
