Director Vasan Bala's (Peddlers) second feature film “The Man Who Feels No Pain” (“Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota”) is all set to release on 21st March this year. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his production company RSVP films, the film had its premiere last year on the Midnight Madness Screening of Toronto International Film Festival where it went on to win the People's Choice award.
The film is the debut for the actor Abhimanyu Dassani, the son of actor couple Himlaya Dasani and Bhagyasree. It also stars Radhika Madan, Gulshan Devaiah and Mahesh Manjarekar in prominent roles.
The film is a meta-retro comedy with stylized martial art action sequences. From the directors own words it is a tribute to all the great martial arts movies he grew up watching in VHS tapes. The latest trailer starts with the quote mentioning that it is a cliché Bollywood trailer, if it is not cut like this no one would see this film considering it a film festival type film.
You can watch the two trailers and the two character introduction videos for the film below.
