After conquering the South Korean box-office, Ma Dong-seok is all set to take Hollywood by storm! According to reports, Marvel’s upcoming project “The Eternals” has added him in an as-yet unknown role to its roster, marking his American debut.

While the details of his role are still being kept under wraps, “The Eternals” focuses on a group of ancient beings whose evolution has been accelerated by the cosmic entities known as The Celestials and have been given the genetic potential to mentally manipulate limited quantities of cosmic energy, as well as other superhuman traits. Angelina Jolie and Kunal Nanjiani are also said to be in consideration for important roles in the film, which is being written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo and will be directed by Chloe Zhao (“The Rider”).

Ma Dong-seok, now one of South Korea’s most bankable stars, will be only the second South Korean actor to feature in big Hollywood franchises, with only Lee Byung-hun having successfully made the transition to big budget American projects like “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and “Terminator Genisys” before.
