First international short film festival in Georgia, Kutaisi International Short Film Festival announces submissions open for international films.
Deadlines: August 20th (Regular), September 20th (Late)
KISFF – Kutaisi International Short Film Festival will be held on 3-7th November of 2020. Kutaisi is the city of one of the prominent filmmakers in Caucasus, Vasil Amashukeli who started his career in Baku and proceeded in Kutaisi. Thus, with KISFF, the city retains its role in the motion pictures industry. Within International Short Film Competition the festival provides Georgian and International retrospectives.
The festival will also be offering masterclasses and workshops from professionals in various topics.Â
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, unfortunately, the festival will not be able to host foreign authors and guests during First year. But winners will receive prizes accordingly (Golden dinosaurs and dinosaur footprint).
KISFF aims to be the main destination for the filmmakers around the world and mainly from the Region of Caucasus.
Best Short Film and Best Director in International competition
Main competition jury will announce winners for Best Short and Best Director awards and honors them with Golden Dinosaur prizes. Both winners will be invited to 2021 edition in Kutaisi with fully founded trip
Super short winner
Jury of Super Shorts competition will reward winner with Golden Footprint prize.
Independent Critics Jury
The other Jury with all Film Critics members will select their favorite.
CONDITIONS FOR SUBMITTING YOUR FILM
KISFF is looking for two categories of fiction films:
1. The Main Competition – 10-30 minute movies.
2. The Second Competition – Super Short 1-5 minute movies.
Considering the Covid-situation the festival will allow films from 2018, 2019 and 2020 years to compete.
