Theatrical release in Japan on January 10, 2025
Released in 2018, Takumi SHIMOMUKAI‘s CentreLine was about a trial of crimes committed by AI. The protagonist prosecutor, Amane YONAGO (Marina YOSHIMI), returns in this sequel armed with a talking badge to solve the mystery of a seemingly random attack on the lead singer of a popular indie band. The witness for this incident: a lyrics-generating AI installed on a smartphone.
This movie is the second instalment of a sci-fi mystery trilogy and will premiere in Japanese theatres on January 10, 2025.
