The FEFF Campus, the journalism school of the Far East Film Festival in Udine, reaches the historic milestone of its eleventh edition this year. A project that can now count on very solid roots and that continues to attract young talents eager to test themselves on the front line. So, who are the 11 aspiring journalists of 2024? Here are their names: Cecy Park (South Korea), Jane Wei (China), Jade Wong Lok-yiu (Hong Kong), Do Ha Lan (Vietnam), Daryl Cheong (Singapore), Maria Smirnova (Ukraine), Ruby Power (Ireland), Gijs Suy (Netherlands), Giulia Adami (Italy), Eliska Nodlova (Czech Republic) and Emma Mattiussi (Italy).

The team will be led, as always, by long-time journalist Mathew Scott and will have the opportunity to study the mechanisms of the festival from the inside and get to know the protagonists of the Eastern scene up close. In the past, we recall that several legends of Asian cinema have donated their time and knowledge to the students of the FEFF Campus: from Japanese director Hamaguchi Ryusuke, winner of the Oscar for Drive My Car, to Chinese diva Yao Chen, passing through Hong Kong superstars Johnnie To and Sammo Hung.
Launched in 2015, the FEFF Campus has now established itself as a significant training platform for young film enthusiasts. This year too, the “Fab 11” will be able to live a unique experience, engaging with industry experts and honing their skills through a rich program of meetings and workshops. One of the focuses will be dedicated to the theme of the “business of film” and the team will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the functioning of the film industry thanks to the programs of Focus Asia and Ties That Bind.
