On the occasion of her film “Montages of a Modern Motherhood” screening at the Udine Far East Film Festival, Hong Kong director Oliver Siu Kuen Chan spoke to Asian Movie Pulse about how her own experience of motherhood inspired the script of the film, the poor representation of struggling mothers on the big screen, and more.

On paper I am an Italian living in London, in reality I was born and bread in a popcorn bucket.
