The Chinese action-packed gangster drama The Game Changer will be available on Digital, Blu-ray & DVD from October 3 from Well Go USA Entertainment. The adaptation of the TV series “Shanghai Bund”, which was set during the gang wars of 1930’s Shanghai, stars Peter Ho (Sword Master) and Huang Zitao (Railroad Tigers) as brothers united to bring down a powerful gangster (Wang Xueqi, Iron Man 3).
The Game Changer features Peter Ho in the role of Lin Zihao and Huang Zitao in the role of Fang Jie as two escaped prisoners who join one of the most powerful gangs in Shanghai, the Green Gang, as the right-hand men of Wang’s Tang Hexuan – the head boss. When Mr. Tang tries to gain total control over business dealings in Shanghai with the conspiracy in which Lin Zihao is the most important part, he discovers his closest allies are not who they seem and turns against his own men to protect his power.
The movie also has Guli Nazha as Mr. Tang’s daughter Tang Qianqian, whom Fang Jie has admired for long. However, she instead falls in love with Lin Zihao at first sight. On the other hand, Lin Zihao’s lover Lan Ruoyun is played by Choo Ja Hyun, whom has been captured by Mr. Tang to be his mistress.
