It has been a year and a half since Chapman To’s last film, ‘The Mobfathers’, was released in cinemas. But if you think the actor has been having a ‘hiatus’, that is actually far from the truth. To has been busy working on his new film, ‘The Empty Hands’, which he has co-written, directed and co-produced. He also stars in the film alongside singer-turned-actress Stephy Tang and martial artists Yasuaki Kurata (‘Fist of Legend’) and Stephen Au Kam-Tong (‘Trivisa’).

According to Screen Daily, the film “tells the story of a young girl whose only wish is to sell her father’s karate dojo when he dies, but discovers that 51% of the business was left to one of his worst pupils”.

‘The Empty Hands’ will premiere at the upcoming Hong Kong Asian Film Festival and open in Hong Kong cinemas on November 2.
