Wolf Warrior 2, the action packed blockbuster directed by and starring Wu Jing (Shaolin, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor), will be out on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital on December 12 from Well Go USA Entertainment. A sequel to the 2015 hit Wolf Warrior, the film has far surpassed the success of the earlier edition by becoming one of the 5 highest-grossing releases worldwide for the year 2017 and also the biggest hit ever in China. The extra features on the DVD and Blu-ray include the making of the much-acclaimed action sequences and interview with Wu Jing.
Wolf Warrior 2 picks up from where the earlier film left off, with Leng Feng (Wu Jing), a former Chinese special forces soldier settled to a quiet life by the sea in Africa, with his career in tatters. When he crosses paths with a sadistic band of mercenaries terrorizing innocent civilians, he must reaffirm his duty as a soldier and save the day once again. What follows is an adrenaline-fueled tour de force of bravura action filmmaking, culminating into a climactic battle between the Wolf Warrior and his adversaries.
The film also stars Hollywood actor Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War, The Purge: Anarchy) in the role of the leader of the gang of mercenaries, along with Celina Jade (The Man with the Iron Fists), Wu Gang (White Deer Plain), Hans Zhang (Zombie Fight Club), Ding Haifeng (White Vengeance) and Chungyu Shanshan (Witness), with special appearances by Yu Nan (The Expendables 2), Yu Qian (The Unfortunate Car) and Shi Zhaoqi.
Apart from its unprecedented commercial success, Wolf Warrior 2 has also won wide critical acclaim for its breathless pacing, visual effects, and action scenes featuring striking hand-to-hand sequences. A sequel, titled Wolf Warrior 3, has already been confirmed by Wu Jing.
