Director Zoya Akhtar is back with her new Hindi movie “Gully Boy” with the first-time on-screen pairing of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The movie is inspired from by life story Vivian Fernandes, better known by his stage name Divine, is an Indian rapper from Mumbai.
The motto of the film is “Apna Time Aayega”, means “Our time will come”. And it's asking the protagonist to rise from his own ashes. The trailer is crafted intelligently punched with lot of energy with a touch of youthfulness. Ranveer Singh has proved himself as a versatile actor and this role suits his personality. Ranveer is just outstanding in those glimpses, pact with powerful dialogues. Alia as his love interest looks extremely promising in the trailer. The movie celebrates life and journey of a boy from the streets of Mumbai who goes on to become one of the noted rappers and its flow is perfectly captured in the trailer. The movie also stars Kalki Koechlin.
The trailer has received a viewership of more than 15 million within 18 hours of release.
“Gully Boy “is set to release on 14 February 2019.
