Atsuko (AMAMI Yuki) is an ordinary housewife married to Akira (MATSUSHIGE Yutaka) with a daughter and son. She is thrifty when it comes to money. After saving for their retirement from her husband's salary and her earnings from her part-time job, Atsuko thought their life would be peaceful in retirement. However, suddenly she has to spend money on her daughter's wedding and her father-in-law's funeral. Their savings dwindle and to make matters worse, both Atsuko and Akira lose their jobs.
Based on the novel by KAKIYA Miu who is also one of the screenwriters, this comedy is directed by MAEDA Tetsu of “A Banana? At This Time of Night?” and “The Boy Inside”.
