Why slot games with a bonus are the best

As more and more of the best slot games were produced due to expanding demand, more and more ideas can come to fruition. They were exciting, different, and ultimately meant that, because they were online, they were available to everyone. Quite a far cry from Charles Fey’s first Liberty Bell slot machine that came out in 1895!

But over time, even these new ideas became stale. No matter what the theme was or what the prizes were, the gameplay was still just the same. In order to keep people happy, playing, and paying, something had to be done, and that something was the bonus games. Soon, many different slots had these extra games included, and they made them attractive to gamers once more. But why are slots with a bonus the best? Here are some of the reasons.

Excitement

The main reason for adding the bonus games in the first place was to make them more exciting for players, so the excitement factor is definitely a reason why slots with a bonus are the best. It’s true that it can be fun to watch the reels spin around and the symbols line up – exhilarating, some might even say – but when you add in an extra game that breaks up the standard gameplay and asks you to do something different, it’s clearly going to be even better.

This is how slot developers will set their game apart from all the rest, so even if the standard based game is pretty samey, the bonus game is sure to be something special indeed; it has to be if it’s going to compare with (and be better than) any others that are out there.

Winning

When you see a game that has a bonus game, what do you think? Or even better, what about if it has more than one bonus game? Well, you might be thinking that it’s great news because you actually stand much more of a chance of winning.

Winning playing traditional slots is hard. Some games will have better odds than others, but the point is still that they are all using a random number generator (RNG) system which means that you can’t predict when you’ll win (if you’ll win) and you’ll have low odds in general of getting the symbols you want to line up to do so. When you’ve got bonus games involved, your chances of winning are increased. In fact, on modern day slots most of the wins that people walk away with are made on the bonus games, not on the main game itself.

Money

When you win on slots, you are going to win money. Looking at the RTP (return to player) percentages on the main slot games, you’ll see something ranging from around 95 to 98 percent on average, with some games more and others less. This is the number that tells you what your chances are of winning your money back. Not winning a profit, mind you; just winning the money back that you initially spent. The chances of winning a huge jackpot are tiny.

And then there are the bonus games. We already know there is a much better chance of winning one of these games than there is on the base game. Did you also know that the prizes tend to be bigger too? If you’re looking for a win in the thousands, or even in the hundreds of thousands, the bonus game is the place to go.
