SGIFF Film Fund Calls for Submissions

SGIFF promotes new opportunities for emerging Southeast Asian productions.

The Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) Film Fund offers two film grants to Southeast ASian film projects, supporting filmmakers with compelling stories to tell across both fiction and non- fiction genres.

The SEA-Doc Grant champions important and compelling stories told through the art of documentary filmmaking in the region. The grant supports four mid-length or feature documentaries and for the first time, will extend its support to include post-production projects. The grant will support two productions with a cash amount of S$30,000 and two post-production projects with a cash amount of S$20,000 per recipient.

The SEA-SHORTS Grant aims to fund the brightest upcoming names in filmmaking. Each recipient will receive a cash amount of S$4,000 and post-production support worth S$4,000. The grant is open to all genres including drama, animation, and experimental short films. SGIFF will distribute four SEA-SHORT Grants for this window.

Submissions for the grants in the 2021 cycle are now open from 1 Dec 2020 to Friday, 31 January 2021, 23:59 (GMT+8).
