Pacific Arts Movement Supports Stop Hate Against Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Communities

You can report incidents of hate, violence, harassment, and discrimination against Asian American and Pacific Islanders.

Last year, joined 70 local Asian Pacific Islander organizations in response to the increasing harassment and violence towards AAPI communities — forming the SD API Coalition. We're seeing these attacks happening at an alarming rate again. Following the recent Oakland attacks, we are reminded that racism & xenophobia against the AAPI community are still occurring due to scapegoating — not just in Oakland, but around the country.

Stop AAPI Hate offers multilingual resources for reporting incidents of hate against the community, and it is working hard to track and respond to these incidents. You can report incidents of hate, violence, harassment, and discrimination against Asian American and Pacific Islanders through stopaapihate.org. Visit the Pacific Arts Movement website to read our organizational joint statement and resources on reporting.

About the author

Adriana Rosati

On paper I am an Italian living in London, in reality I was born and bread in a popcorn bucket. I've loved cinema since I was a little child and I’ve always had a passion and interest for Asian (especially Japanese) pop culture, food and traditions, but on the cinema side, my big, first love is Hong Kong Cinema. Then - by a sort of osmosis - I have expanded my love and appreciation to the cinematography of other Asian countries. I like action, heroic bloodshed, wu-xia, Shaw Bros (even if it’s not my specialty), Anime, and also more auteur-ish movies. Anything that is good, really, but I am allergic to rom-com (unless it’s a HK rom-com, possibly featuring Andy Lau in his 20s)"
