Latest Titles Coming Up in May on VIDDSEE

The 30th April is International Bubble Tea Day! Bubble tea lovers all over the world will unite to indulge in their temptations. Take this opportunity to binge-watch (and drink) 's comedy series ‘1000 Cups To Midnight' to lighten up the mood with your favourite bubble tea in hand! 1000 Cups To Midnight

In an attempt to save their declining shop, entrepreneur Lucas and his oddball staff members have to sell 1000 cups of bubble tea within 48 hours and prove their value to obnoxious landlord Jacky. The staff of Best Bubble Tea needs to win the challenge over the weekend, or risk eviction from their premises. As the countdown to midnight begins, they grapple with low sales, low traffic, low self-esteem, but they won't stop until they have saved the shop…and their jobs. Watch it now HERE.

He undergoes a surgery to give himself a permanent smile. This episode of Scene City features Haresh Tilani from The Ministry of Funny and Constance Lau, best known for her role as Celine Lim in ‘Crazy Rich Asians.

Sleep With Me

 Married for 16 years, Peggy and Jason's relationship has hit a middle-age lull. They appear like an ‘average' couple, but beneath the surface, they are struggling with emotional and intimacy issues. Meanwhile, everyone else in their family is also having relationship problems! ‘Sleep With Me' is a comedy drama that explores love and marriage through the ups and downs of a multi-generational family.

Old Man And The Cat

An eccentric, irritable and reclusive old man finds a stray cat at his doorstep. Initially annoyed by the animal, he discovers a strange connection with the cat that helps him reconnect with a part of himself that has been lost through years of anger, loneliness and regret. As their bond grows and his emotional wall chipped away, the old man finds the courage to be kind and love again. The story is one about abuse and abandonment, and how they can happen to animals and humans alike in society.

Letters To God S3

New age spirituality is becoming a trend around the world. Moving away from traditional religion, the foundations of new age spirituality are built upon both eastern and western religious traditions. “New agers,” as they are called, don't limit their belief system to one particular doctrine. ‘Letters to God 3: The World Of Energy', follows the story of a modern witch, a paranormal investigator, a psychological astrologer, an amulet seller and a metaphysician psychic, who share their challenges and how they traverse the spiritual world.

The Last Wish
Premieres Friday, 28 May 
It is Chinese New Year. Kevin returns from overseas for a different kind of reunion – the demise of his father, Meng. Jennifer, Kevin's sister, has been busy calling up the relatives and the funeral parlour when he reaches home. Suddenly, Kevin recalls that Meng wished to be donated to the hospital after death. To do so, Kevin disguises Meng as a traditional Chinese lion and tries to bring the body into his car when Jennifer goes out to settle the rest of the funeral. However, upon Jennifer's unexpected return to retrieve some documents, an absurd game of hide-and-seek begins. 

Dalang's Tale
[8 mins] Premieres Monday, 31 May 
‘Dalang's Tale' is seamlessly told through two different tales. A man and his young son journey to a shadow puppet show known in the Malay world as Wayang Kulit. Interspaced throughout their journey, another story unfolds – one where a man, black flames on his head, rages with each act of abuse inflicted on his wife. At the end, the audience discover how the two tales intersect. This story sheds a light on the issue of domestic violence.
