This Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes are honoring the incredible work of Asian American and Pacific Islander filmmakers and performers across all platforms and the stories they have brought to our theaters and homes over several decades.
Fandango will be featuring Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month across all of its social and digital platforms. Fandango's movie recommendation show, Weekly Ticket, will feature a Summer Movie Preview episode with AAPI talent and critics and the Fandango Movieclips channel will feature listicles and playlists curated around all things Asian American and Pacific Islander film and television. “In the Heights” Director Jon M. Chu also picks his most influential films from Asian American filmmakers exclusively on Fandango, with corresponding lists on Fandango's streaming services, Vudu and FandangoNOW.
Rotten Tomatoes will be celebrating with lists such as the 65 Best Asian-American Movies, 15 Asian American Milestones in Film and Television, the Best Asian-American Movies on Netflix, guides to Pacific Islander Films and more. The site will also feature a personal essay from Rotten Tomatoes editor, Alex Vo, reflecting on the Asian-American origins of the brand. These features will live in a newly created destination on Rotten Tomatoes dedicated to celebrating the work of Asian American and Pacific Islander film and TV creators and complemented by video and graphics on Rotten Tomatoes' social media channels.
