The Vesoul International Festival of Asian Cinemas, represented in Cannes by Martine and Jean-Marc Thérouanne, director and general delegate, and Marc Haaz, technical director, congratulates all the winners of the 74th Cannes Film Festival and more particularly Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Japanese director of “Drive My Car“, who was awarded three times (Screenplay prize, FIPRESCI and Prize of the Ecumenical Jury), Asghar Farhadi, Iranian director of “A Hero“, Grand Jury prize, Nadav Lapid, Israeli director of “Le Genou d’Ahed ”and Apichatpong Weerasethakul Thai director of“ Memoria ”, both jury prizes.
FICA also congratulates the Korean actor Song Kang-ho, (“Parasite”, “Snowpiercer”, “The Host”, “Memories of Murder”, “Joint Security Area”, …), for coming twice to Cannes, as a member of the jury and main actor of “Emergency Declaration” presented out of competition.
