Joo-Eun (JEON So-Min) and Tae-Hoon (PARK Sung-Hoon) are happily married with a 6-year-old daughter, Hee-Soo (KIM Yun-Seul). After Hee-Soo dies in a car accident, husband and wife live day by day unable to escape their grief. Tae-Hoon, with the help of his program developer friend Joon-Beom (KIM Gang-Hyun), recreates their daughter in virtual reality (VR) form. Joo-Eun and Tae-Hoon are able to interact with their daughter again through VR, until Joo-Eun develops a strong obsession with AI ‘Hee-Soo'.
Hee-Soo is a sci-fi thriller in a feature film format directed by CHOI Sang-Yeol. It is the first in the line-up for “UHD KBS Drama Special 2021-TV Cinema” scheduled to be broadcast on October 22, 2021 (11:20 pm KST) on KBS 2TV and will also be available two weeks earlier on the online streaming platforms wavve and Btv. KBS Drama Special is an annual collection of short-form dramas with one or two episodes.
