The 15th International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR extends their call for entries to 21 FEBRUARY 2022!
The ANIMATOR International Animated Film Festival is one of three festivals in Poland (and the only animated film festival) to receive Academy Award® qualifying status from the American Film Academy. This means that a short film which wins the Festival's Grand Prix, i.e. the Golden Pegasus, is on its way to being nominated for an Oscar® in the Best Animated Short category and can compete for this prestigious award.
The Festival program includes 4 competitions:
- Short Film Competition
- Feature Film Competition
- Polish Competition
- Series Competition
During each edition of the festival over 300 films from around the world are presented, including retrospectives, reviews, premieres or rarely shown works of animation pioneers. ANIMATOR means meetings, discussions, interactions and a lot of music. Its relationship with animation is especially appreciated here. In addition to the main awards, the International Jury awards a Special Prize for Best Music Film or Best Film Music.
The total prize pool waiting for the winners is as much as 140 000 PLN.
