Terracotta: Streaming and Blu-ray Releases for February

Terracotta is now streaming the Obayashi Anti-War trilogy of films. Casting Blossoms to the Sky, Seven Weeks and Hanagatami offer three different stories from the celebrated director of HAUSU.

For fans of Japanese cinema, Terracotta also has a collection of films from Sion Sono, Shinya Tsukamoto and Toshiaki Toyoda.

Terracotta Blu-ray & DVD Store

Eureka have announced three new kung fu titles on Blu-ray, with a limited first run slipcase edition. The first up is ODD COUPLE starring Sammo Hung.

KNOCKABOUT and the much anticipated release of DREADNAUGHT starring Yuen Biao and directed by Yuen Woo Ping, are both out in April. All three are available to pre-order from the Terracotta store.

Check out the titles in the Lunar New Year promotion – titles start from £1.99 and also include some recently released boxsets and steelbooks. Promo ends February 15, 2022 or until the titles run out of stock, so get them before they run out.

One of those films that is so often requested to be released, FUNKY FOREST: THE FIRST CONTACT, finally comes to Blu-ray, thanks to Third Window Films. Not only that, but the release contains the rarely seen sequel WARPED FOREST.

Out in March, pre-order from the Terracotta store.

Terracotta has also recently expanded their range of Trinity Cine Asia DVDs and Blu-rays with titles like IP MAN: FINAL FIGHT, ELITE FORCE OPERATION MEKONG, MULAN and the pictured Andy Lau and Lau Ching Wan actioner, SHOCKWAVE.

Legendary Weapons of China (dir. Lau Kar Leung) 88Films
When an ex-member of a magical kung fu group starts damaging their reputation, an elite killer squad is dispatched to silence him.

Crazy Thunder Road (dir. Sogo Ishii) Third Window Films
First release in any format outside of Japan for this punk anti-establishment biker film which was the director’s film school graduation project.

The Flag of Iron (dir. Chang Cheh) 88Films
Delayed from the end of last year, but well worth the wait as it’s Venom Mob plus Chang Cheh – a formula for a great kung fu film!

Skinny Tiger, Fatty Dragon (dir. Lau Kar Wing) Eureka
Sammo Hung and Karl Maka in this buddy detective movie from the 1990’s era of Hong Kong kung fu comedy.
