Every day a man sets out to kill himself, but every afternoon he forgets what he is about to do because he suffers from alcoholic dementia. One day, he meets a severely alcoholic woman who leads an equally mundane life with no purpose. They start to hang out but once she discovers his condition, she takes advantage of it by installing a false memory of herself as his previous lover. Oddly enough he believes this and they soon embark on a road trip to the Taebaek Mountains to end their lives together.
