Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival – 4th Edition

(AICFF) is hosting its 4th edition this year at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA). Opening day is December 24, 2022 with India's OSCAR® entry this year, “Last Film Show (Chhello Show)“. From December 26 to 29, there will be screenings of various selected children's films at AMA from 4pm to 7pm. The entry to the Festival is free but with registration at AMA.    

AICFF is the platform where children's content from across the world are coming together. In 2019, 2020 and 2021 AICFF has received around 500 plus films from across the world. This year AICFF has received over 50 children's films from 19 countries including Islamic Republic of Iran, United States, Brazil, Poland, Turkey, Singapore, Canada, Spain, Slovakia, Russian Federation, Portugal, Norway, Morocco, Italy, Ireland, Bangladesh, Czech Republic, Chile and their own country India.

This year's Categories and Awards including the Screening Schedule:
Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Animation Film, Best Student Film, Best Director Feature Film, Best Director Short Film, Best Director Documentary Film, Best Actor Feature Film, Best Child Actor, Best Story, Best background score, and special recognition as Golden Kite Award, Silver Kite Award and Bronze Kite Award

Deevyesh Radia, President of AMA: “AMA means continuing education and we have been constantly supporting the education needs by various training, forums and events, of all the stakeholders. Film festival is one such event, where we look forward to the young generation to get Education with Entertainment together. International films showcasing at AMA is a proud moment, and I wish citizens of Ahmedabad take maximum advantage of it”. 

This year the Festival Director is Manish Saini and Jury Members are Aarti Patel and Girish Makwana.

Manish Saini is the National Film Award winner for Gujarati film “DHH“: “We are excited to host this year as offline event. Films as a communications medium, has the inputs of being an invaluable teaching tool along with entertainment for all age groups, and particularly the young, whose minds are fresh and open to learning”.

Aarti Patel is an Indian actor, writer, radio jockey and producer known for her work in Gujarati cinema and television: “I am glad I am part of this festival and as jury and we will always support children cinema, as they are the future story tellers”.

Girish Makwana is a film director, writer, musician, producer, and composer based in Australia: “Our children are our future, encouraging children cinema is like giving them an opportunity to talk about their vision and their ideology”.   

Chetan Chauhan is a publicist by profession and Founder of the Festival: “AICFF is one of the gestures we have started for the society to give our children the feel of world of children cinema, especially when there is less focused on children cinema, we always make our festivals free for children and audience to come and enjoy”.
