Kasumi Sobata (Tôko Miura) has lived life her own pace and hasn’t felt feelings of romance or love swell up in her before. After turning 30 she gave up on her dream of becoming a cellist and returned home to the countryside to work in a call center. Once surrounded by her married sister and mother, she’s pestered with questions about why she’s single. Pressured by her mother, she attends a dating mixer and meets someone that, like her, doesn’t have interest in a romantic relationship leading to marriage and instead seems to just want to be a friend.
