Recruitment for the International People's Jury of the 17th edition of the Five Flavours is now open!

Do you love cinema? Do you enjoy writing, talking and discussing about it? Do you want to acquire new skills? Try your luck at the People’s Jury of Five Flavours! This is a unique project, in which it is not industry professionals, but passionate and energetic cinema enthusiasts who judge the competition films and decide which of the festival titles will be awarded the Grand Prix. This year we are inviting to Warsaw Asian cinema enthusiasts from all over Europe!

The idea behind the People’s Jury is simple – 9 admirers of Asian cinema from all over Europe will meet in Warsaw at the 17th edition of the Five Flavours Film Festival to watch and discuss titles of the New Asian Cinema competition section, and choose its winner. The jury deliberations will be accompanied by workshops of festival and journalistic skills.

During an 7-day intense stay in Warsaw, Jury members have a chance to widen their film horizons, improve their writing and editing skills and participate in the dynamic festival life.

Participation in the People’s Jury is a unique opportunity to get to know the Five Flavours Film Festival inside out, as well as to discover Asian culture, discuss art, politics and challenges of the contemporary world. It is also a unique chance to watch almost forty films from East and Southeast Asia over eight days and analyze them in an international group, under the guidance of experienced mentors.

All the workshops activities and assignments will be held in English. The participants of People’s Jury will be reimbursed for the transportation within Poland and will receive hotel accommodation for the whole duration of the festival, mentorship during the workshops, and professional accreditation. We kindly invite all the people across the world, but all the participants willing to participate in the project are supposed to cover their transportation to Poland at their own expense.

Call is open till September 10th!
