Asian Movie Pulse Video Interviews: Kazuo Hara talks to Panos Kotzathanasis

On the occasion of his presence as a jury member for the BIFF Mecenat Award, speaks with Panos Kotzathanasis about his career and how he has changed through the years, following up on his documentary subjects and particularly the people of Reiwa Uprising, whether cinema and documentary in particular are able to make a change and the difference between fiction and documentary.

I've loved cinema since I was a little child and I’ve always had a passion and interest for Asian (especially Japanese) pop culture, food and traditions, but on the cinema side, my big, first love is Hong Kong Cinema. Then - by a sort of osmosis - I have expanded my love and appreciation to the cinematography of other Asian countries.
