Pacific Arts Movement Announces the 13th Annual Spring Showcase: Celebrating Asian Cinema and Culture

Pacific Arts Movement is thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated 13th SDAFF Spring Showcase, a celebration of Asian cinema and culture. The weeklong film festival returns to San Diego on April 18 through 25 in theaters at the UltraStar Cinemas at Hazard Center in Mission Valley. The SDAFF Spring Showcase has become a staple event in San Diego’s cultural calendar, creating a space for film enthusiasts and community members an opportunity to enjoy films and engage in compelling dialogues. From blockbuster hits from Asia to inspiring documentaries from the Asian diaspora to retrospective special presentations, this year’s lineup promises over a dozen captivating films across 8 days.

“Following a year of increased attendance and engagement, we’re excited to welcome back Spring Showcase for its 13th year,” said Pacific Arts Movement Executive Director Alex Villafuerte. “The Showcase is an opportunity to engage with film enthusiasts and get a taste of what we have in store for our 25th San Diego Asian Film Festival.”

This festival offers local audiences the opportunity to connect with filmmakers, fellow film enthusiasts, industry professionals, and community members through thought-provoking Q&A’s, receptions, and performances that foster community building and belonging.
