Code Geass returns as a movie trilogy, titled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection (Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch). Here is the trilogy’s main trailer:

The first film of the series is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: The Awakening Path, followed by Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: The Rebellion Path, and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: The Imperial Path. The trilogy’s first film is scheduled to hit the theater on 21st October, followed by February 2018 for the second and May 2018 for the last one in Japan.

The story takes place several years after Lelouch’s “Zero Requiem” (the final events of the anime’s second season). This three-part film series will recap all 50 episodes of the original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion series and the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 sequel series, and also include new content. The original cast is re-recording for the films.

On the other hand, there will also be two new spin-off light novels, which are launched this fall on the official website of Yatate Bunko, Sunrise’s new light novel imprint. The first one, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – Lancelot & Guren, will focus on the stories of Suzaku and Kallen that weren’t portrayed in the original story.

The second one is Code Geass Story Fragment – Piece of the Mosaic, an omnibus work that will focus on six different main characters whose lives are affected and changed by the events of the main story.
