TAKE ME TO CAMERA JAPAN AMSTERDAM!

Wondering what to expect at CAMERA JAPAN in Amsterdam this year?
As always, a warm welcome from all their hard-working volunteers who are there to create an enjoyable and safe experience for you.

Though the festival has had to slim down this year, there will be plenty of that special CAMERA JAPAN vibe on offer. Cool decorations, snazzy T-shirts and face masks to buy, workshops, and a great selection of films handpicked by our programmers. Yokoso!

Due to COVID-19 measures, screening room capacity is severely diminished. To help us maximise the limited capacity, please consider the following suggestions.

  • If you plan to visit a screening with someone else and want to sit next to them, please purchase/reserve tickets together.
  • If you made a Cineville reservation but cannot come to the screening, please cancel the reservation as soon as possible. In case of a no-show, all your reservations may be cancelled.
  • Any unclaimed tickets will be released 15 minutes before the screening.
  • Please stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19. Do not put others at risk.

The dates for the 15th edition of the CAMERA JAPAN Festival in Amsterdam are 1 to 4 October at LAB111.

Rhythm Zaveri

Hello, my name is Rhythm Zaveri. For as long as I can remember, I've been watching movies, but my introduction to Asian cinema was old rental VHS copies of Bruce Lee films and some Shaw Bros. martial arts extravaganzas. But my interest in the cinema of the region really deepened when I was at university and got access to a massive range of VHS and DVDs of classic Japanese and Chinese titles in the library, and there has been no turning back since.

An avid collector of physical media, I would say Korean cinema really is my first choice, but I'll watch anything that is south-east Asian. I started contributing to Asian Movie Pulse in 2018 to share my love for Asian cinema in the form of my writings.
