Trailer: The Book of Fish by Lee Joon-ik

Director Lee Joon-ik loves a good historical story. Eight of his twelve directorial credits so far have all been historicals of some form. His newest effort “” sees him return once again not only to the genre after the lukewarm response to his last film, the modern-day set “Sunset in My Hometown“, but also sees him reteam with Sol Kyung-gu, the star of one of his most lauded works, “Hope”.

Synopsis

The story of poet Jeong Yak-yong's brother, Jeong Yak-jeon when he was exiled to Heuksando in 1801, and meets an energetic young fisherman.

Alongside , “The Book of Fish” also stars Byun Yo-han, (“Will You Be There?”), Lee Jung-eun (“Parasite“), K-Drama regular (“Reply 1994”) and Kang Ki-young (“Crazy Romance“). Earlier projected as a 2020 release, “The Book of Fish” is now scheduled to be released in February 2021.
