This is the third and final instalment of MIIKE Takashi's “The Mole Song” action-comedy trilogy about a bumbling cop who goes undercover and becomes a fully fledged yakuza. In this movie, cop-gangster hero Reiji (IKUTA Toma) is ordered to infiltrate Japan's largest yakuza organisation and prevent a drug shipment worth 600 billion yen. His swansong mission and shenanigans take place aboard a luxury cruise ship where Reiji faces his strongest enemy yet.
“The Mole Song” movies are based on the manga by TAKAHASHI Noboru which has been serialized since 2005. As with the previous two movies, “The Mole Song: Undercover Agent Reiji” in 2013 and “The Mole Song: Hong Kong Capriccio” in 2016, prolific director MIIKE Takashi has teamed up again with equally celebrated director/scriptwriter KUDO Kankuro.
