K-wave Musical Jack the Ripper Performing Strong Globally with MetaTheater’s Online Streaming!

MetaTheater(http://metatheater.live) distributing live theater performances through its platform globally has been LIVE streaming “Jack the Ripper” the musical to audiences around the world. The musical is receiving rave reviews and attention thanks to the enthusiastic support of K-musical and K-POP fans.

Based on a true unsolved serial murder case in London in 1988, “Jack the Ripper” has long been loved for its catchy story, strong narrative development, colorful stage technology, and classic and popular numbers. Since its premiere in 2009, all five encore performances recorded high audience attendances. When the musical traveled to Japan in 2012, 81.5% of the paid seats were occupied, every show received standing ovations from the whole audience, and even standing tickets were purchased. In the history of K-musicals, Jack the Ripper recorded the highest box office sales, establishing its position as a leading K-wave musical in Japan.

Actor UM KI JOON, FTISLAND's LEE HONG GI, INFINITE's NAM WOO HYUN, Astro's MJ, SF9's IN SEONG, and actors SHIN SEONG WOO, KIM PUB LAE, KANG TAI EUL, and KIM PAUL, are among the stellar leading K-POP stars and K-musical actors who raised a lot of public interest even before the musical's commencement. Through performance-focused platform MetaTheater, streaming services were open to 153 countries around the world except for the Czech Republic, heightening the fever among international fans even more.
