Parasite co-stars Choi Woo-shik and Park So-dam are looking to change their images in 2022. After Park So-dam starts off the year with “Special Cargo”, it is Choi Woo-shik's turn to feature in a hard-hitting thriller with “The Policeman's Lineage”, starring alongside Cho Jin-woong in the police procedural.
Synopsis
Park Gang-yoon is the chief of an investigation team that deals with serious crimes. His team has an unrivaled arrest record. Park Gang-Yoon prioritizes making arrests. For that, he doesn't mind using illegal methods to get information.
Choi Min-jae is a rookie police officer. He is a man of principle. To obtain a secret document about his deceased father, he accepts a mission to monitor Park Gang-Yoon and gather information on his corrupt dealings. He then joins Park Gang-yoon's team.
The feature is an adaptation of Joh Sasaki's Japanese novel of the same name, which also spawned a Japanese tv series previously. With “Children…” director Lee Kyoo-man at the helm, Cho plays Park Gang-yoon while Choi plays Min-jae. Park Hee-soon will also be seen in the same film as Choi Woo-shik once again after “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion”, while his “Parasite” co-star Park Myung-hoon also features. “The Policeman's Lineage” is gearing for a January, 2022 release.
