Hong Kong Arts Centre Moving Image Programme presents Cinema Distancing May 22 and 29, 2022

Reopening in April after a hiatus caused by the city's fifth wave of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Louis Koo Cinema once again introduces “Cinema Distancing” with the showcase of different Italian short films for all movie lovers.

Programme 1 will present the silhouette of six immigrants in six European cities. Short film selection from the David di Donatello Awards, the Italian Oscars, will be featured in Programme 2.

You can either enjoy an online movie night with your loved ones or a true cinematic experience at Louis Koo Cinema with large screen and lots of detail.

22/5 8pm Programme 1: 13.11 mini-series – Silhouette of European Livelihood
On November 13, 2015 six immigrants in six European cities – Riga, Toulouse, Seville, Lisbon, Hamburg, Bologna – struggle with the problems of everyday life, they dream and fall in love. In the meantime, on 13/11/2015, the day of the terrorist attack in Paris.

29/5 8pm Programme 2: Short Film Selection of David di Donatello Awards
As a high-profile film event in Italy, the David di Donatello Awards ceremony is a major affirmation of local films. Since the honour received is no different from the ACADEMY AWARDS®, the David di Donatello Awards are regarded as ‘the Italian Oscars'. ‘Best Italian Short' is specially set up to recognise the effort of the local short film industry. The Hong Kong Arts Centre proudly presents four nominations and two Best Italian Shorts between 2015 and 2020, allowing you to experience the richness of Italy's humanity, noble aesthetic pursuits and boundless creativity.
