MetaTheater, a platform that globally distributes live theater performances, will give you the chance for a sneak peek of the 2022 versions of the musical Bungee Jumping of Their Own and its beautiful numbers that finally returns after 4 years produced by SHINSWAVE. On Monday, June 13th at 7 p.m., MetaTheater will globally live stream the sitzprobe of Bungee Jumping of Their Own in real-time.
Sitzprobe is the term used to describe the rehearsal before the official start of the show where the cast and the orchestra perform in harmony under the music director's guidance. Until now, MetaTheater has provided live streaming services with subtitles in various languages, live streaming of sitzprobes, as well as VOD services of the musicals Midnight Sun, Jack the Ripper, Blue Helmet: A Song of Meissa, and EQUAL, playing a big role in wide-spreading K-musicals to global fans.
Bungee Jumping of Their Own is a Korean musical based on the same titled romance movie starring Lee Byung Hun and late Lee Eun-ju. This love story remains a topic people still talk about as it's a story that transcends time and space and also because of the twist in the second half of the story. Its main theme songs “The Waltz”, as well as “Rain Song”, “I Guess That's It”, and “Mountain Song” are some of the beautiful numbers that have been and are continuously loved by the audience. Ever since its debut in 2012, this musical which has been restaged three times, has been acclaimed by critics and has received awards from the Korea Musical Awards and The Musical Awards.
SHINSWAVE produced the 2022 version of Bungee Jumping of Their Own the musical, and since an 8-person orchestra will be playing live, many have high expectations. During the sitzprobe happening on the 13th evening, 15 numbers with sweet melodies will be revealed. For its return after 4 years, one can expect explosive synergy between the newly arranged music and new cast. It stars Lee Changyong, Jo Seongyun and Jung Taek Woon as Seo Inwoo, a man who cannot forget about his fateful love, while his sad first love In Taehee will be played by Choi Yunwoo, Lee Jungwha, and Ko Eun Young. Jung Jaehwan and Ren (Choi Mingi) plays Yim Hyunbin, a young man who confuses Inwoo with his resemblance to Taehee. Lastly, Uh Hyejoo, a classmate of Hyunbin, will be played by Lee Hue and Ji Suyeon. The new cast for the 2022 version will meet the global audience for the first time through the upcoming sitzprobe.
MetaTheater plans to make the domestically and internationally highly anticipated musical Bungee Jumping of Their Own's sitzprobe available to 154 countries around the world in real-time. It's the first time Bungee Jumping of Their Own will be officially introduced to the international audience.
