When her young son Minato (Soya KUROKAWA) starts to behave strangely, Saori (Sakura ANDO) feels that there is something wrong. Discovering that a teacher Hori (Eita NAGAYAMA) is responsible, she storms into the school demanding to know what's going on. Monster is the sixteenth feature film by acclaimed director, Hirokazu KORE-EDA, and his seventh to be featured in Competition at Cannes. Screenwriter Yuji SAKAMOTO wins the Best Screenplay Award and the film was also awarded the Queer Palm 2023. A release date is yet to be announced.
