The Asia Contents Awards (ACA), an annual event to celebrate the achievements of excellent content on TV, OTT, and online platforms across Korea and Asia, is going global this year, and returning as the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards.
The 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards (ACA & G.OTT Awards) will join forces with the International OTT Festival, which will be co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Busan Metropolitan City. Expanding its topography from Asia to the world, the ACA & G.OTT Awards is expected to present a differentiated content awards ceremony. This aims to embrace the changes in the growing content industry and celebrate the quality contents around the world, providing opportunities for notable contents to receive international recognition and make their marks in the global market.
To accommodate the expansion of nominees from Asian to global content, the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards restructured the programs and presents a total of 17 award categories, introducing 5 newly added awards. The awards categories are composed of 10 competitive categories, including the Best Creative Award, which recognizes the most outstanding content of the year, Best Lead Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, and the newly added Best Reality & Variety Award, and 7 non-competitive categories, including the Lifetime Achievement Award and Rising Star of the Year. Furthermore, following the increase in production and streaming of various contents through online video service platforms in recent years, a new award category for streaming platforms has also been introduced.
This year's ceremony, which will be attended by artists, producers, and OTT representatives from around the world, is garnering expectation from the audience with the announcement of various events, including the red carpet ceremony and celebratory performances.
