Welcome to the Neo-South Independent Film Festival, where independent filmmaking takes center stage. As a local production company run by a group of filmmakers, we are dedicated to showcasing up-and-coming talent and creating a welcoming environment for independent filmmakers. Our festival is a celebration of friendship and collaboration, aiming to bring exposure and attention to high-quality works in the Neo-Noir genre.

Awards & Prizes: The Neo-South Independent Film Festival is committed to
presenting the best in independent filmmaking. “Official Selections” will receive a high-resolution .png image of our festival honors for marketing purposes. A panel of judges will select the best film in each category and award a set number of Special Mentions for both feature and short film categories. Winners will receive a high- resolution .png image of our festival honors with the “Winner” or “Special Mention” title.

YOUNG REBEL AWARD (First Time Malaysian Filmmaker): This special award is dedicated to aspiring young Malaysian filmmakers pursuing diploma studies within Malaysia. Winners will participate in the Neo-South Filmmaking Incubator and Apprenticeship Program for 12 weeks.
