New York-based distributor Icarus Films announces their newest release, “Outcry and Whisper.” This political manifesto for the resistance of women – including workers, artists, intellectuals, and militants – in Chinese and Hong Kong society sheds light on the ferocious battle for independence over 8 years.
“Outcry and Whisper” previously was selected for the Visions du Reel Documentary Film Festival and the Jean Rouch International Film Festival.
In a wave of movie-like serendipity revolving around movies, I transitioned from studying early Italian Renaissance frescoes to contemporary cinema.
