Focus Hong Kong Easter Edition is now Live.

Focus Hong Kong Easter Edition will be running online from 31 March to 6 April in the UK.

After the first edition successful run in February, when UK audiences celebrated Chinese New Year with a great selection of new and classic Hong Kong films, is back.

This Easter edition of the festival runs online from 31st March to 6th April 2021 inclusive,giving audiences across the UK the chance to watch a carefully curated selection of some of the best new Hong Kong films of the last year along with much-loved classics.

This time too, Focus Hong Kong features a fantastic and diverse line-up of films, including 3 UK premieres, as well as another free selection of Hong Kong shorts.

Here are all the titles:

Romance “” (2019) by Norris Wong – UK Premiere
one of the most acclaimed Hong Kong films of recent years, starring Stephy Tang.

Inspirational sports drama “” (2021) by He Liheng – UK Premiere
following characters trying to become runners as they face up to challenges in their lives.

Award winning psychodrama “” (2019) by Kiwi Cjow – UK Premiere
a sensitive drama dealing with mental illness, winner of multiple awards and the highest-grossing domestic film in Hong Kong in 2020.

Ground-breaking transgender drama “” (2018) by Jun Li
the first of its kind from Hong Kong, presented with in partnership with Queer East.

CLASSIC STRAND

Martial arts classics “” (2004) by Johnnie To
legendary director Johnnie To's 2004 martial arts homage to the great Japanese director Akira Kurosawa.

and “” (1991) by Tsui Hark
Tsui Hark and Jet Li's legendary 1991 martial arts epic, which is still considered one of the best genre films of all time.

both presented in full 1080p and sourced from 4K restorations.

A selection of Hong Kong Fresh Wave Shorts will be available, all free of charge.
