Trailer: Missing by Shinzo Katayama

After his ping pong club business fails, Satoshi (SATO Jiro) is depressed and lives in poverty with his daughter, high school student Kaede (ITO Aoi). One day, he sees a wanted serial killer “No Name” and declares that he's going to catch him for a bounty. When Satoshi disappears the next morning, Kaede desperately searches for him, eventually finding a man (SHIMIZU Hiroya) who bears her father's name and works at her father's previous workplace. Realizing that the man is the infamous serial killer and fearing the worst, she begins to follow him to find her father.

This is the second film by director, KATAYAMA Shinzo, following Siblings of the Cape which won Best Picture at the Skip City International D-Cinema Festival 2018. He has served as assistant director for filmmakers such as Bong Joon-ho (Tokyo! and Mother) and YAMASHITA Nobuhiro (My Back Page and The Drudgery Train).

recently received its world premiere in the New Currents section of the Busan International Film Festival 2021. Its theatrical release in Japan is scheduled for 21 January, 2022.
