Izumi and Shikimori are the quintessential lovey-dovey high school couple. They walk home from school holding hands, flirt in the halls and tease each other. Shikimori knows what she wants and how to get it. She can turn from a cutie to a super cool “heartthrob girlfriend” in an instant, especially when clumsy Izumi is in trouble.
This anime is based on Keigo MAKI's rom-com manga, which is serialised in Kodansha's Manga Pocket digital magazine and currently has 11 volumes as of January 2022. The English version is published by Kodansha USA.
The series is directed by Ryota ITOH with Doga Kobo handling the animation production – both director and studio have worked together on My Senpai is Annoying. Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie will begin its broadcast on April 9, 2022.
